ARC Accelerating Rate Calorimeter
ARC is designed to measure and verify the thermal runaway of power batteries, including the cell heat capacity, product of battery disintegration, specific heat capacity and charge/discharge heat release.
Stropower ARC equipment are independently designed for providing an approximate adiabatic environment under laboratory conditions, provide reliable experimental ambient temperature, accurately obtain the temperature changes in the battery reaction process, and conduct data analysis from multiple angles to provide supporting and basis for battery thermal safety assessment and vehicle development thermal management. The referenced standards for thermal runaway tests including GB/T 36276:2023, UL 9540A:2019, GB 38031:2020, GB 38032:2020, the ARC equipment are suitable for EV battery cells and small modules to conduct prescribed tests eg. US ABC & Freedom Car, SAND-2005-3123, SAE J2464.
